Electronic Mosquito Repellent Circuit

This Electronic Mosquito Repellent Circuit is very easy and very simple. This circuit has minimum components repel mosquito. Large number of things like  creams, coils, oils and other things are available in the market to repel mosquito.

At the Same time all these replant can become the cause of many diseases like skin cancer and etc. Creams and oils become the cause of skin diseases, while mates and coils produces toxic fumes. Toxic fumes can lead to serious breathing problem. Electronic Mosquito Repellent circuit is no harm for human being because it produces frequency that human being can not hear. Mosquito repellent circuit generates a frequency from 20-38 KHz. These range of frequency irritates mosquito and they runs away from your house.

Principle Behind Mosquito Repellent Circuit

Human generations are able to hear frequency range from 20Hz to 20 KHz. The frequency above this is not hear able by human generation and this frequency are called ultrasonic frequency. Many animals and insects are able to hear these ultrasonic frequency.

I want to clear that in mosquitoes ultra sound is generated by the male mosquito and female receives that sound and after breeding female mosquito mainly avoid this frequency. This circuit produces the same frequency as the male mosquito generates and these creates a stress on the female mosquito and they run away from these frequency.

Components Required

  • 555 timer IC
  • A ceramic capacitor of 0.01 MF
  • A resistor of 1k
  •  Piezo buzzer
  • 10k variable resistor
  • A  9V battery

Transistor and ICs can be used to generates these frequency. we have to connect such type of buzzer with the circuit that can generates the ultra sound. We have used a 10k variable resistor to increase and decrease the range of frequency.

Notes.

  • Assemble the circuit on a general purpose PCB for better result.
  • The circuit can be powered from 9 to 12 volts DC.
  • The buzzer can be any general purpose piezo buzzer.
  • The IC should be mounted on pcb or in holder.
  • change the frequency at higher rate.
